Shaquille Rashaun O'Neal (pronounced /ʃəˈkiːl/; born March 6, 1972), nicknamed "Shaq" (/ˈʃæk/), is an American professional basketball player, rapper, actor, reserve police officer and a U.S. Deputy Marshal.[1] He is widely perceived as one of the most dominant players in the history of the NBA.[2][3] Standing at 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m) and weighing 325 pounds (147 kg), he is one of the heaviest players ever to play in the NBA.
